Board of Directors: Christine Bavaro

Christine Bavaro joined the Curry School Foundation Board of Directors in 2008.

Christine is a marriage and family therapist and a licensed mental health counselor in private practice in Lynnfield, MA.

Bavaro has been a very familiar name around the Curry School since Dan Meyers’ record setting commitment for a new Education School building in 2004. Christine is the widow of Bavaro Hall’s namesake, Anthony D. “Wally” Bavaro, but she has always been a supporter of education and children’s well-being in her own right.

Early in her career, Christine worked with families of children and adolescents with learning disabilities and severe mental illnesses. She continues to be interested in programs available to this population.  She also is passionate about the need to instill self-esteem in teachers and to provide them with ongoing support.

Christine completed her M.Ed. in mental health counseling at Northeastern University.
