Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Mimi Arbeit is a postdoctoral fellow with Youth-Nex. She earned her doctorate in child study and human development from Tufts University. She studies the process of individual skill development within interpersonal and institutional contexts in order to inform school and community-based programs and policies that facilitate safe, supportive, and fulfilling relationships for young people. Her work here will focus on youth-adult relationships, peer relationships, and sexual/romantic relationships. She will be working with Professors Nancy Deutsch and Amanda Kibler. She is also an Emerging Scholars blogger for the Society for Research on Adolescence (SRA), and a collaborator on efforts through SRA to mobilize adolescent researchers in support of the Movement for Black Lives.
