An earned bachelor degree in education or related field; GRE scores earned within 5 years of application; writing samples are strongly encouraged
February 1 for Fall Admission; Oct. 15 for Spring Admission
36 credits (up to 6 credits may be transferred in if at the graduate level and approved by the program area) which is inclusive of a 6-hour internship; comprehensive exam
Some funding may be possible for full-time M.Ed. students depending upon the applicant’s experiences and qualifications and a match with current needs of projects and grants
3 semesters of full time study (12 credits); M.Ed. requirements must be completed within 5 years of the beginning of the program
Full or Part Time:
M.Ed. may be pursued part time or full-time
36 credit hours—
12 credits in core foundational courses focused on learning and development; 21 credits in the gifted education core including a 6-hour internship; 3 or more hours elective credit based upon students’ interests
