The Endorsement-only option is intended for individuals who have a master’s degree and are seeking Virginia endorsement in preK-12 school administration and supervision and a position as principal, assistant principal, or central office supervisor. Students complete the core required courses (30 credits) as well as an administrative internship on a part-time basis. Click here for information about costs associated with the program of study.
Candidates for endorsement are responsible for completion of all other state requirements. In addition to completion of Curry’s approved program of studies and internship, candidates are required to have a passing score on the State School Leader’s Assessment, a master’s degree, and a minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience with a Virginia teaching license. This program is currently offered in partnership with the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) but will be transitioned fully to the Curry School on July 1, 2012. Click here for more information about the SCPS-Curry transition.

Degree Requirements
To earn and endorsement in Administration and Supervision, students must successfully complete all core coursework requirements as well as an administrative internship. See the Course Overview below.
At the end of the program, student must apply for graduation from the Curry School and apply for endorsement in Administration and Supervision.

By taking 2 courses per semester, students can complete the course of study in 5 semesters and the internship during the sixth semester.
Full or Part Time:
All students are part-time, working professionals. Courses are offered on an alternating annual basis during fall, spring, and summer sessions.
