The Certificate-only option is intended for individuals who have a master’s degree and are seeking Virginia endorsement in preK-12 school administration and supervision and a position as principal, assistant principal, or central office supervisor. Students complete the core required courses (30 credits) as well as an administrative internship on a part-time basis.
Candidates for certification are responsible for completion of all other state requirements. In addition to completion of Curry’s approved program of studies and internship, candidates are required to have a passing score on the State School Leader’s Assessment, a master’s degree, and a minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience with a Virginia teaching license. Detailed information about Virginia requirements for endorsement in preK-12 Administration and Supervision may be accessed on the Virginia Department of Education website.
We are currently accepting applications for admission in Northern Virginia and Richmond.
