Personal Statement
Allison Atteberry is currently an IES postdoctoral fellow in the Curry School’s Center on Education Policy and Workforce Competitiveness. She completed her doctorate at the Stanford School of Education in June 2011, with a minor in statistics. Her academic interests involve research on school intervention strategies to improve learning opportunities for children in disadvantaged settings. Allison’s current work focuses on issues related to the estimation of causal effects of teachers and schools (value-added), and implications for accountability systems. She is also interested in the development of professional working communities in schools and expertise in the practice in teaching. She also has a strong interest in quantitative methods and causal analysis. For more information, visit http://acma.me
