Personal Statement

In my copious spare time outside of work hours, I spend my time trying to be a good father to two beautiful and intelligent daughters, and play old-time banjo with the Rivanna River Chiggers, and sometimes with my old band, The Red Hot Chilly Pickers. I have been known to play frottoir with a Cajun band in the wee hours of the morning, but don’t tell anybody!

Responsibilities

I am the Network Administrator and Technology Security Officer for the Curry School. I administer our local file servers that are used for network printing, shared file access and other administrative applications such as our Track-It Help Desk system. In my role as Technology Security Officer, I have been working on new policies, procedures, and other methodologies for ensuring the integrity of our network systems, employee workstations, and employee data, highly-sensitive and otherwise.

In addition to my formal responsibilities listed above, I also help with various other software and hardware issues. Because of my former career as a copier repair person, I have also developed a reputation for being the person to call when our printers are not functioning correctly.
