Students interested in Language Education, including Foreign Language and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), have a variety of options at the Curry School of Education. For undergraduates interested in K-12 teaching, we offer our Foreign Language B/MT, a five-year program with a focus on Spanish, French, or German that includes both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree along with licensure and endorsement. For post-graduates similarly interested, we offer our PGMT, a 2-year master’s program. For those interested in working with English Language Learners, we offer an add-on ESOL endorsement, taken in conjunction with licensure studies in Foreign Languages or Elementary Education. (Those interested in Latin Education should contact Dr. Ruth Ferree firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Our M.Ed degree in Foreign Language is offered in conjunction with Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (CTL), where Foreign Language is an emphasis area in the CTL framework.
