Students interested in Science Education have a variety of options at the Curry School of Education.
For undergraduates interested in teaching middle and/or high school science, we offer our B/MT, a five-year program that includes both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree along with licensure and endorsement.
For post-graduates similarly interested, we offer our PGMT, a 2-year master’s program. In both of these programs, students may choose from the following licensure areas: biology, chemistry, Earth & space science, and physics.
Our M.Ed and Ed.D degrees are offered in conjunction with Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (CTL), where Science is an emphasis area in the CTL framework.
Finally, we offer a Ph.D. with a concentration Science Education designed to prepare graduates for college or university positions in science education or for positions within research organizations with specific areas of curricular expertise.
