CCPS offers comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. We conduct individual testing and interviewing to determine intellectual abilities, educational achievement, and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. We also conduct family interviewing that focuses on child development, family needs, and parenting concerns.
Typical Referral Concerns:
- AD/HD
- Cognitive abilities
- Learning disabilities
- Emotional concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, anger, bipolar)
- Behavioral problems (e.g., oppositional behavior, aggression)
Evaluation results provide information and recommendations about:
- Diagnosis
- Intellectual functioning
- Educational achievement
- Personality and emotional adjustment
- Treatment options
Comprehensive assessments typically last a full day and are often conducted by an assessment team that includes doctoral students and licensed psychologists. Briefer assessments are conducted when clinically appropriate. Consultation with schools and other professionals regarding evaluation results and recommendations is also provided.
Fees for assessment services are based on the amount of testing and interviewing conducted, and often can be billed to insurance.
