Why Curry?

Now is the time to discover the Curry School. We are more than a place training the best teachers. Here, we are investigating the full gamut of the human experience: from human movement, language and hearing, and innovations for youth both in and out of the classroom, globally and here at home.

Undergrads at Curry

Student sitting underneath a tree on the Lawn.We know that you have high expectations for your college experience and we have risen to the challenge. While at Curry you will learn from some of the most respected faculty in their fields. But your time in the classroom is just the beginning. For us, the real goal is about making an impact. Lets see how, together, our ideas can change the world around us.

From the Dean

A question we hear often is why are programs like Kinesiology, Speech Pathology & Audiology, or Youth & Social Innovation a part of the college of education. You, too, may be surprised by the variety of majors available at the Curry School.

At Curry, we take very seriously our role as a thought leader in human development. We recognize the powerful connections between teaching, learning and wellness that happens in our nation's schools, communities and clinics. Whether we consider the early learning environments a toddler might experience with her family, how teaching people of all ages the importance of a nutritious diet, or how policies impact youth, at Curry you will be pushed to think of your major in a broader context of the human experience.

Our students and faculty are working together to better understand how each of the areas at the Curry School impact the others.  We look forward to your being a part of our mission.
