There is always so much happening at the Curry School. To give you a taste, we decided to take a random week out of the semester and give you a taste of what our students experience. So, enjoy taking a look at what happened around here between October 23-29, 2011.

Youth Nex, a research center based at the Curry School, held it's first annual conference on October 24-25. Students were a big part in making the conference happen. You can also see a full slideshow of the

Ed Policy Seminar Series
Curry's Ed Policy Seminar Series is held on most Mondays during the semester. On October 24, Rob Olsen discuses his work in policy evaluations.
Education Pioneers Information Session
Curry's office of education career development hosted an information session given by Education Pioneers on Wednesday, October 26. They have a paid summer graduate fellowship program where students can work in schools, districts and other education-focused organizations.
The Transformational Power of Groups in Schools
Also on Wednesday, October 26, students were invited to hear Dr. Sam Steen of the George Washington University give a talk on his work of groups in schools.
Charlottesville School Board Candidate Forum
Wednesday of this week was a busy day! Curry hosted a candidate forum for the Charlottesville School Board.
Students had an opportunity to hear each candidate share about their reasons for running for school board and were able to ask them questions at the end.
