Dean Pianta on Developing Effective Teaching

In November of 2011, Curry School of Education Dean Robert Pianta authored a report finding the majority of teacher professional development options are ineffective.  In contrast to the current options that are, at worst, known to be ineffective, or at best, have very little evidence of positive impact in the classroom, Pianta discusses the importance of proven effective professional development tools for teachers.

This is Pianta’s presentation of the report to the Center for American Progress on Tuesday, November 29.
