Summer Enrichment Program
The Summer program is a 2-week residential camp at UVa. Students apply to attend one of three Sessions each summer. 2013 Summer session dates are:
Session I: June 16th - 27th, 2013
Session II: June 30th - July 11th, 2013
Session III: July 14th - July 25th, 2013
The deadline for new applications for the Summer 2013 program has past (February 15th, 2013) but if you would like to be on the waiting list, you may still apply.
Young Writers Program

THE YOUNG WRITERS WORKSHOP of the University of Virginia, established in 1982 as the nation’s flagship program for young writers, enters its third decade of bringing together a community of writers from across the country and beyond its borders with a common purpose: to create a supportive, non-competitive environment where teenage writers can live and work together as artists.
Central Virginia Writing Project: Young Writers' Summer Camp
June 24-28, 9am-12pm
During the Young Writers’ one week Camp, rising 3rd - 5th grade students will take their writing to new levels as they create a variety of traditional and new technology texts using a diverse set of tools to include Voice Thread, blogs, and wikis.
Summer Institute on Academic Diversity
Week 1: July 8 - 12, 2013
Week 2: July 15 - 19, 2013
Each week features Carol Tomlinson presenting in a morning session, followed by anchored attribute sessions and breakout sessions tailored for individual grade level, subject area, or job specific needs. Registration can be submitted via mail or fax, but spots are available on a first come, first served basis. If submitting registration forms by fax please include a copy of the check or purchase order. The conference fee includes: conference materials, lunch and snacks, and a reception in the University of Virginia Rotunda. The conference runs Monday through Friday, with an orientation meeting on Monday morning prior to the start of the first session.
