Even though she has been honored often during her teaching career, Brennan Sigel ( M.T. ‘03 Soc Stud Ed) said she was surprised to be named Hanover County’s teacher of the year.
“There are so many quality teachers in the county — teachers who inspire me,” she said. “When they told me I had won the award, I thought, ‘Really?’ ”
Sigel is a modern global studies and International Baccalaureate psychology teacher at Atlee High School, where she has taught since 2003 — her entire teaching career. She has been recognized as a Hanover Honored Educator for three years. Richmond Times-Dispatch
