Curry Faculty Recognized for Work

Derrick Alridge


Curry Professor Derrick Alridge has been invited to serve as the key note lecturer for the University of Massachusetts celebration of the life of W.E.B. Du Bois in February.

 

 

Associate Professor Mable Kinzie has been elected to Vice President for Communications, for the Division of Instructional Development of the Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT).  She will serve in this role for one year, then become President Elect and President for one year periods.

Sara Dexter & Mable Kinzie served as co-chairs for the program committee of Division C, Section 7 on Technology Research for the 2012 AERA annual meeting.

Sara Dexter
has been invited to serve as the Chair-Designate and then Chair of the Technology Committee for AERA starting in 2011 and concluding in 2013.  Dexter has also served as the guest editor for a special issue of the Journal of School Leadership on the leadership of technology in schools, published  summer 2011.

 

 


Patrice Grimes

Patrice Grimes, Curry assistant professor and associate dean for the Office of African-American Affairs at U.Va., has joined the team working to re-purpose Charlottesville’s historic Jefferson School into the Jefferson School City Center.  UVaToday’s Jane Ford wrote about the project here.
