Over the weekend, the work of Dean Pianta, an expert in both early childhood education and teacher effectiveness, was cited in two major news outlets. The first is an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times, Pushing past mediocrity in the classroom. The second article, Event to help children deal with transitioning to school, published in the Centre Daily Times of State College, PA, mentions Pianta and Marcia Kraft Sayre’s book, “Successful Kindergarten Transition.”
