Larry Edward Decker, 72, passed away April 23, 2012, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. Decker was a professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from 1973 to 1995 in the Curry School of Education and the Director of the Center for Community Education. For eight years, he was also and associate dean for administration. In 1995 he moved to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, where he worked until his retirement.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church on Emmet Street followed by a Farewell Reception in Newcomb Hall.
