The Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) released new research findings recently that highlighted the the use of Responsive Classroom Approach and standard-based mathematics teaching practices. These findings were published in a CASTL Research Brief.
News outlets have picked up these findings and highlighted them in articles through the Sacramento Bee and others.
This study, conducted at CASTL, examined the impact of the Responsive Classroom® (RC) Approach on the use of standards-based mathematics teaching practices in third grade classrooms. Results showed that RC teachers showed higher use of these standards-based mathematics teaching practices than non-RC teachers.
