Prof. Wyckoff Study on Teacher Turnover Finds School-wide Negative Impact

Jim WyckoffEducation Week’s Stephen Sawchuk has written an article about a recent study conducted by Curry School Professor Jim Wyckoff, who also serves as director of the Center on Education Policy & Workforce Competitiveness and his colleagues Matthew Ronfeldt of the University of Michigan & Stanford University’s Susanna Loeb.

The study suggests that the overall low morale caused by teacher turnover negatively impacts the achievement of all students at the school—both students whose teacher leaves and those whose teacher stays.
