As an intern, you will participate in:
- Research meetings with your mentor, co-mentor, and other lab members
- Workshops on topics such as SPSS, the NAEP data set, writing graduate school application essays, and the publication process.
- Kaplan GRE preparation course
- Research conference (past conferences have been: Leadership Alliance National Symposium, Head Start Research Conference)
- Presentations on the research project you assist with during the summer (see our alumni page for links to previous presentations)
- Social activities such as canoeing on the James River, hiking in Shenandoah National Park, visits to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and other Charlottesville area attractions
