Julie Janson Gray is the faculty advisor for the McGuffey/TEMPO Reading Outreach Program of the University of Virginia at the Richmond Center, organizing graduate level courses as well as non-credit workshops, in-services, and other customized professional development opportunities for school systems in the Richmond area. Our graduate degree programs are offered on a part-time basis in Richmond; it takes a student approximately three years to complete a degree. Students must complete 12 courses (36 hours) for the M.Ed. and 10 courses (30 hour minimum) after the Master’s degree, for the Ed.S.
Individuals are encouraged to apply to the program during their 1st or 2nd course. Application forms are available on-line.
