The Southwest Regional Center, housed in the Southwest Virginia Higher Ed Center in Abingdon, VA, is headed by Dr. Rebecca Harrison. She is assisted by Ms. Deborah Sproles. Faculty in reading who serve this center's outreach are graduates of our program who are living currently in Southwest Virginia. The University of Virginia is committed to working with districts within this center's outreach area to bring the best in reading education to their teachers. Currently we are offering courses by contract with Wise County.
