Title: CLASSROOM LEARNING ENVIRONMENT: HOW TO MEASURE QUALITY AND AN EXAMINATION OF RESEARCH FINDINGS

Mr. Josang & Jen can be reached at: knud.jensen@stavanger.kommune.no

Frode Josang and Knud Jen have spent most of their teaching career looking at the learning environment in secondary classrooms and developing analytical assessment tools. During this talk, these teachers’ will be discussing some of the challenges they have observed with teachers in Norway, and present some research findings of next steps (from a project on www.golden5.org). They will also be discussing the criteria for observations they have used and describe how they have used in international classrooms. Further discussion will surround the development and lesson learned of a data based questionnaire, which has been used in multiple international contexts.
