Catherine Brighton
Associate Dean, Academic and Student Affairs
Associate Professor, Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education

As Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Student Services, Brighton oversees the academic programs for Curry the School, the Office of Admissions and Student Services, counsels enrolled and prospective students, as well as serves as the licensure official and advisor to the dean.

Jessica Penca Livingston
Director, Student Affairs
The Director of Student Affairs works with the Associate Dean to improve the student experience at Curry. Jessica counsels enrolled and prospective students interested in undergraduate and graduate programs and serves as an advisor to Education Council. Her responsibilities also include coordinating programs and events such as Curry community programs, information sessions, orientations, student support services and service learning opportunities.

Jane Mayhew Cook
Student Service Coordinator - Day in the Life & K12 Outreach
Coordinates operations for the Day in the Life Program to include the recruitment, registration, selection, and retention of service learning and community service participants. Her role also supports the implementation of K12 Outreach initiatives - K12 Advisory Council and SCOPE.

Mary Gubbins
Student Services Specialist, Off-Grounds Programs
The Off-Grounds Student Services Specialist provides registration assistance and related information to students in open enrollment and contract courses and applies the K-12 educator discount rate to all eligible students. She also resolves faculty questions about course registration issues and problems.

Hilary Kerner
Director, Education Career Services
The Director of Education Career Services provides career-related programming, advising, and services to any full-time students enrolled in Curry School degree programs. Her services include conducting individual appointments and walk-in advising, communicating and presenting career-related programming to Curry groups and classes, and coordinating both the annual Educators’ Expo Job & Interview Fair, and the Education Resume Marathon. 

Linda Linnartz
Coordinator of Academic Quality and K12 Outreach
The Coordinator of Academic Quality and K12 Outreach works closely with program coordinators in assessing the academic quality of programs. She works with school divisions to provide high-quality professional development opportunities for teachers in the field, as well as coordinates the library media specialist licensure program that Curry offers in partnership with UVa-Wise.

Admissions and Outreach Specialist
