Dean’s Travel Fellowship Program
The Dean’s Travel Fellowship Program, funded by the University’s Strategic Investment Fund, provides increased financial support to doctoral students who serve as lead presenters at national conferences. Doctoral students who serve as lead presenters will receive a $1,000 stipend per conference with a funding limit of $1500 per student, per academic year from the program. Co-presenting students are eligible for reduced awards. Additional funding for conference travel support may be available through students’ academic department. Funding is available only for national meetings of organizations in the student’s area of study, with priority given to these national conferences.
Applications will require evidence of accepted proposals from the conference and conferences must occur no earlier than July 1, 2019. Upon acceptance of fellowship stipend applications, students will receive a $1,000 stipend in their student accounts. Applicants must be active in their programs at the time they apply for funds and at the time they present at conferences in order to receive funds.
For more information about this program, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Students with federal financial aid, including work-study, should also be aware that the additional stipend will count as financial aid and may require adjustments to their federal aid allocations. Those students should contact Dana Stanley, email@example.com, with questions regarding potential impacts on their federal financial aid.
