Alexis Prijoles is a Research Specialist for EdPolicyWorks, a joint collaboration between the Curry School of Education and Human Development and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Her current work focuses on the data architecture and management of multiple research projects related to early childhood education policy and initiatives, preservice teacher education, and social science research methodology. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Research, Statistics, and Evaluation from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics and a minor in Business Administration from Clemson University. She worked as a programmer analyst at a health insurance company before shifting to the field of education. Prior to joining EdPolicyWorks, Alexis worked as a tutor for America Reads and Counts, and as a graduate research assistant within Curry. Her research interests involve evaluating and improving the methodologies used in education research. She is also interested in education policy, and student achievement and non-cognitive outcomes.
