My research focuses on understanding and promoting classroom processes that support young children’s learning and development. I am interested in understanding the implementation of classroom-based interventions, particularly those aimed at enhancing teacher-child relationships and children’s social-emotional development. I am also engaged in several research-practice-policy partnerships that center on strengthening early childhood in Virginia. In 2019-2020, I was a Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) state policy fellow with the Virginia Department of Education Office of Early Childhood.
