  • M.P.H., University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 1994
  • B.S., Longwood College, 1982

Diane has worked at the Curry School since September, 2014 as the Manager of Special Events.  Having previously worked in a variety of roles at the UVa Health System, Diane joined the Curry School with rich experiences in leadership, conference planning, program development, community engagement, and teaching.  Her Master of Public Health degree engrained the importance of evidence based practice and program development that meets the needs of the populations we serve.  With an undergraduate degree in education, she has the experience to apply the foundational elements of adult learning to event development and organizational growth.

While Diane's career has included a variety of responsibilities, event planning has been at the foundation of her work and has been a role she has always enjoyed.  In collaboration with a wonderful Curry team, she plans major events such as graduation and beginning-of-the-school-year events.  She works with faculty and staff to plan and implement local and national conferences.  And she helps coordinate annual lectures and research lectures as well as celebrations in the Curry School.
