Office of Communications & Marketing
The Office of Communications & Marketing shares the important story of the students, faculty, staff and alumni of the Curry School of Education. Our goal is to enhance the academic reputation of the Curry School globally by sharing the superb work being done at our institution, and encourage students to choose the Curry School as the place to earn their education degree. We connect the innovative thought leadership created by our faculty, staff and alumni with those who could benefit from it, bringing positive change to individuals, classrooms, clinics and communities world-wide.
We are marketing and communications professionals, content creators, public relations specialists, designers, writers, photographers, social media strategists, and more. We ensure that the Curry School's story reflects the overall excellence of the University of Virginia.
Please submit requests for new and edited marketing communications projects on the Office of Communications & Marketing Project Intake Form.

Versions recommended for most applications where space allows and a degree of formality is appropriate. Some examples include official stationery and reports. You can achieve a slightly less formal feel by using the version with the “UVA” monogram.
The vertical version is designed for applications where horizontal space is limited like envelopes and vertically oriented banners.
The Curry School of Education actively disseminates and elevates its faculty & researchers’ scholarship, striving to shape education policy and practice. The MEDIA TOOLKIT outlines specific strategies and tactics for scholars to effectively field media inquiries, author various types of commentaries, and promote work on a local, regional, and national scale.
In partnership with the dean, the Leadership Team, faculty members and other constituents, our communications team creates long-term branding campaigns in correlation with the greater University of Virginia brand. We create and produce materials for student and faculty recruitment, advertising and marketing. We also manage the relationships between the core Curry brands and sub-brands including the research and clinical centers, on- and off-site community programs, and professional development workshops and conferences.
Through a variety of marketing strategies, our marketing team works to promote and position the Curry School as a leader in providing top-tier education for students. Marketing efforts include advertising, PR, events, social media, and more. We work to create student recruitment strategies, events, websites and other materials for prospective undergraduate and graduate students in all areas of the Curry School. We also work with the Office of the Dean and Human Resources to create materials useful in the recruitment of faculty and researchers to the school.
The media relations team distributes to the media news about the various academic programs, research, faculty, students, alumni, workshops and conferences, and other events and initiatives at the Curry School. We also receive inquiries from media outlets seeking to connect with a faculty who can serve as an expert for their article or television segment.
The Curry School of Education website was created under and is managed by the Office of Communication & Marketing. We work with a team of content editors located in multiple offices throughout the Curry School.
