Following a seven year career at George Mason University, Joey joined the Curry School of Education and Human Development in August 2013. In his role as director of operations, he is responsible for space and facilities planning, day to day operations for the dean's office, process improvement, special projects, faculty and staff on-boarding, and project budgets. Joey also has oversight of Curry's events programs and faculty affairs. He serves on the UVa Security and General Safety Committee, co-advises Curry's Education Council, and advises the Theta chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. Aside from his work at Curry, Joey volunteers as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician and teaches American Heart Association's HeartCode BLS course.
