Mandy Turner joined the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia as Director of Assessment, Accountability, and Accreditation in July 2017. In this role, Mandy's aim is to develop and foster a culture of assessment and evidence across programs at the Curry School. Mandy coordinates and facilitates national accreditation efforts and serves as liaison to Institutional Assessment for regional accreditation (SACS) and state approval (SCHEV). Prior to joining Curry, Mandy served as the Director of Assessment, Accreditation, and Accountability at the University of Connecticut’s Neag School of Education, and as the Educator Assessment Coordinator for the Connecticut State Department of Education. A Richmond, VA native, Mandy completed Virginia Commonwealth University’s PhD program in Educational Psychology in 2014, studying the relationships among teacher achievement goal orientation, self-efficacy, stress, and the P-12 accountability context in Virginia.
