Raj Seneviratne joined the Curry School of Education as the Manager of Faculty Affairs in February of 2019. Raj is responsible for the administration of Curry faculty processes including promotion and tenure reviews, faculty annual reports, annual faculty elections and faculty awards. As a member of the Dean’s office staff, Raj also supports special projects and dean's office initiatives.
Raj began work at the University of Virginia in 2006, in Human Resources. From 2008 to 2017, Raj served as Assistant to the Vice Provost for Administration at the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. In 2018, he returned to UVA HR as the Manager of Employee Relations. During his time at HR and Provost, Raj also trained new UVA managers on fair employment law, and served as a Title IX hearing panelist for the Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights. Prior to his career at the University, Raj worked for ten years as a legal analyst and publisher at Lexis Nexis.
