Ryan Grimm is a Post-doctoral Research Associate working with Emily Solari. Ryan received a M.A. in Social Sciences in Education from Stanford University, a M.A. in Quantitative Research Methodology from University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Ph.D. in Special Education, Disability, and Risk Studies also from University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to coming to UVa, Ryan was a Special Education teacher in the California Bay Area and a Postdoctoral Scholar at University of California, Davis.
Ryan’s research interests and publications have centered around reading development in various special populations, including English language learners, students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and youth that present with reading difficulties. Ryan has also conducted research in quantitative methodology, specifically, structural equation modeling and finite mixture modeling.
