Saturday & Summer Enrichment Program
Fostering talent development in gifted youth and their teachers.
In coordination with the Curry School of Education, the Saturday and Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) seeks to offer gifted and/or high ability students a rich and engaging learning experience outside the regular classroom environment. Modeling best practices in curriculum and instruction, the SEP staff works as a community to maximize potential in each student and foster a passion for lifelong learning.
SEP hosts two programs throughout the year. The Saturday program serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The Summer residential program hosts students in rising fifth through eleventh grades. Please click on the corresponding links for further program and application information.
The Saturday Program is offered every winter, on 5 consecutive Saturday mornings in January and February. This program offers academic enrichment classes for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th. Learn more about the program. Dates for 2019 are:
Saturday, January 19 through Saturday, February 16, 2018 (reserving Saturday, February 23 as a snow date in case one of the other days is closed because of inclement weather.)
If bad weather causes travel to be unsafe in Charlottesville on any of the Saturdays of this program, we will cancel classes for that day and leave a notice on this page by 7:30 am on that day. If SEP is open, but the roads in your area are unsafe, please make your own decision about whether or not to travel to SEP.
The dates for the 2019 season are:
Session 1: June 16 - June 27, 2019
Session 2: June 30 - July 11, 2019
Session 3: July 14 - July 25, 2019
