Young hee completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Media Art and a minor in Psychology. Then, she earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Hanyang University in South Korea with a concentration on Healthcare Management. Young hee joined the STAR initiative as a Graduate Research Assistant during her Educational Psychology and Applied Developmental Science (EP-ADS) Master's program and became a Research Specialist after graduation. Before joining the STAR initiative, Young hee was one of the founding members of Balance Brain Centers in South Korea and spent nine years of experience in the broad realm of administration, marketing, and service design to provide therapeutic services to children with special needs. Young hee’s current projects involve developing interactive systems to improve the lives of individuals with Autism and their families as well as conducting research studies based on Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently, Young hee coordinates the Autism DRIVE as well as a study focused on teaching water safety skills to children with autism using behavior analytic principles.
